yesterday, on my first day of work, i had my first experience hailing (spelling?) a cab...and it definitely wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done.  turns out, a lot of cab drivers don't like to go outside a five block radius or something and kept turning my request to go to 3rd and park avenue down.  eventually someone did pick me up, with all my boxes (i had to run an intern/messenger errand), and got me uptown.  

after i finally got a cab, after like half an hour of waiting, i was so stressed out because my boss had said to me to get the package there by 5, it was now 4:45, and place it in the hands of a specific woman.  she didn't say this exactly but had communicated to me not to come back to the office if I didn't get the packages into "Jenny's" hands.  So of course I'm thinkin, "don't get fired on the first day!"

in the end it all worked out, Praise God!, and I'm back at work today.  phew...
